As he was using a bandsaw to cut a circular ash piece for the first model of the Reciprocal Frame in 1987, Graham Brown wondered where on earth the Reciprocal Frame and its attendant whirlwind had come from? Out of Nowhere was the instant reply.

This immediately became the name of his studio / workshop as it so fittingly honoured the origin of the structure. Out of Nowhere has, since 1989, been dedicated to research and development of the Reciprocal Frame.

Out of Nowhere is now in transformation into the charitable trust that will support Peacebuilding projects across the globe.
